Yemen Electricity Minister condemns Houthi attacks on vital infrastructure

Yemeni Minister of Electricity and Energy, Adnan al-Kaf, has condemned the Houthi militia's targeting of state institutions and vital service facilities. He described these actions as a systematic and destructive approach designed to disrupt daily life and undermine the government's efforts to rehabilitate infrastructure.

Al-Kaf emphasized that attacks on electricity, water, and health sectors directly impact the fundamental rights and livelihoods of Yemeni citizens. He stated that these facilities should not be treated as military targets, as such strikes exacerbate human suffering and hinder the restoration of essential services in liberated provinces.

Despite these challenges, the Minister noted that the Yemeni government is continuing its work to rebuild state institutions, improve services, and expand renewable energy projects to mitigate the ongoing crisis.
