Yemen Health Minister inaugurates new reference laboratories in Aden

Yemen's Minister of Public Health and Population, Dr. Qasim Mohammed Buhaybeh, has inaugurated new reference laboratories in Aden designed for diagnosing epidemic and genetic diseases. The facilities, managed by the Central Health Laboratories, were completed through self-funding and aim to enhance diagnostic efficiency, particularly in molecular biology and early disease detection.

During the inauguration, which included representatives from the World Health Organization, Dr. Buhaybeh also received the National Guide for Biosafety and Biosecurity in Medical Laboratories. This guide serves as a national reference to standardize safety practices, protect healthcare workers and patients, and strengthen the country's health security and readiness to respond to biological risks and pandemics.
