Yemen health officials shut illegal clinics as Egypt conducts hospital inspections

In the Raddofan district of Yemen’s Lahj governorate, the public health and population office carried out a wide‑scale inspection of private medical facilities. The operation, overseen by director Osan Fadel Ali Al‑Ajlami and the supervisory committee led by Jamal Qasim, resulted in the temporary closure of several clinics and drug stores, including Al‑Jabal Clinic, Union Pharmacy, Cairo Clinic, Al‑Mazahmi Human Medicine Clinic, Palestine Clinic and DM2 Pharmacy. Security forces assisted to secure the sites and enforce the closures pending corrective action.

Separately, health authorities in Egypt’s Beni Suei governorate performed field visits to Al‑Wasti Central Hospital and the Telt unit of the Fashen health administration. Inspectors, including Dina Ahmed Abdel‑Basset and Susan Hamedy Abdel‑Hafiz, reviewed drug availability, service delivery, record keeping and compliance with health regulations, issuing guidance to improve performance and patient care.
