Yemen judicial and labor officials discuss improving labor dispute resolution

Judge Mohsen Yahya Taleb, President of the Supreme Judicial Council, met with Mukhtar Al-Yafei, Minister of Social Affairs and Labor, to discuss enhancing the performance of the Labor Arbitration Committee. The meeting focused on improving coordination between the judiciary and the Ministry to resolve disputes between workers and employers more efficiently.

The officials addressed challenges facing the committee and explored ways to increase its efficiency, speed up legal proceedings, and ensure the protection of rights for both parties. Judge Taleb emphasized that effective dispute resolution mechanisms are essential for maintaining stability in the labor market and upholding the rule of law.

Minister Al-Yafei noted that strengthening the committee is vital for fostering trust in state institutions and creating a favorable environment for economic activity and investment. The discussions included plans to address administrative and technical difficulties and to improve the training of the committee’s staff.
