Yemen launches emergency reconstruction of Wadi Bana Bridge

The Yemeni Minister of Public Works and Highways, Hussein al-Aqrabbi, has launched an emergency maintenance project to reconstruct the Wadi Bana Bridge in the Abyan Governorate. The concrete bridge, which measures 220 meters in length and 28 meters in width, was destroyed by floods.

The project is funded by the Roads and Bridges Maintenance Fund and will be executed by the General Corporation for Roads and Bridges. In addition to rebuilding the structure, the works will include necessary protective measures to ensure the bridge's sustainability against future floods and changing climatic conditions.

Alongside the bridge reconstruction, officials also inaugurated routine maintenance for the Douf road in Abyan to improve traffic flow and safety within the governorate.
