Yemen military reports family killed by failed Houthi ballistic missile

The Yemeni Armed Forces announced that an entire family was killed on Friday after a Houthi ballistic missile failed to complete its trajectory and struck a home in the Nihm district, east of Sanaa. The missile, launched from the Ayal Sayyad area, hit the residence of Mohammed Ahmed al-Qash'a during a family gathering, also damaging a neighboring house.

Military officials stated that there have been increasing instances of Houthi missile launch failures, causing projectiles to deviate and fall into populated areas. Similar incidents were reportedly observed in Sanaa, Taiz, Ibb, and Saada. The military warned that these failures pose a direct threat to civilians and property.

The statement attributed the decline in Houthi missile capabilities to recent strikes targeting missile warehouses, launch platforms, and specialized technical experts in Saada. Additionally, the Yemeni Air Force reported the deployment of new systems that have achieved successful operational results using trained national crews.
