Yemen Ministry identifies 21 Iranian and Hezbollah experts aiding Houthis
The Yemeni Ministry of Interior has announced the presence of 21 foreign experts working alongside Houthi forces across six provinces. According to Interior Minister Ibrahim Haidan, the group consists of 14 members of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps and seven members of Hezbollah.
These experts are reportedly involved in the planning, management, and supervision of military operations, rather than acting solely as a training team. Their technical expertise covers ballistic missiles, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), command and control systems, electronic warfare, and communication infrastructure.
The ministry further stated that these individuals coordinate maritime operations, including the selection of commercial shipping targets and the development of explosive-laden boats and autonomous submersibles. They are also allegedly providing training in mine-laying, siege tactics, and urban warfare.
Minister Haidan claimed the network is led by a high-ranking Iranian military commander operating under diplomatic cover as an ambassador. The Yemeni government warned that these activities aim to establish long-term political and social influence while using Yemen as a testing ground for Iranian military technology.
