Yemen Ministry of Defense appoints Colonel Ahmed Amabad Amer

Yemen's Minister of Defense, Lieutenant General Tahir Ali al-Uqaili, has issued ministerial decree number 32 of 2026 regarding leadership appointments within the armed forces. Under this decree, Colonel Ahmed Amabad Ahmed Amer has been appointed as the Assistant to the Director of the Financial Department for Administrative Affairs.

The appointment is based on military service and job rotation laws and takes effect immediately upon issuance. Colonel Amer is a veteran with over 35 years of experience in military, administrative, and financial sectors. He was one of the founders of the Ministry of Defense's Financial Department in Aden in 2015 and holds a bachelor's degree in accounting.
