Yemen Prime Minister prioritises service upgrades and reconstruction in Aden
Yemen’s Prime Minister Dr. Shaa’ Al‑Muhsin Al‑Zandani met with the governor of Aden, Abdulrahman Sheikh, and officials of the city’s local authority to review and set priorities for essential services and development projects. The discussion covered ongoing infrastructure work, plans to stabilise the electricity sector, rebuilding state institutions, and measures to improve security and public order.
The prime minister stressed the need for a genuine partnership between the central government and the local authority, calling for transparent, accountable reforms and the involvement of the private sector. He announced the preparation of a joint action plan to address accumulated deficiencies, enhance accountability, and restore public confidence in state institutions as part of a broader effort to revive Aden’s historic, cultural and economic role.
