Yemen Prime Minister resumes publication of Official Gazette

Prime Minister Shayea Mohsen Al-Zindani has inaugurated the resumption of the Republic of Yemen’s Official Gazette in the temporary capital, Aden. The publication had been suspended for more than 11 years following the Houthi takeover in late 2014.

During an event organized by the Ministry of Legal Affairs, Al-Zindani emphasized that the resumption of the Gazette is a vital institutional step toward restoring the state’s legal and legislative functions. He noted that the Gazette serves as the official platform for publishing laws, decrees, and regulations, acting as a tool for government transparency and accountability.

The Prime Minister stated that administrative and financial reforms are being linked to the reform of the legislative and legal publishing system, asserting that “there is no reform without law, and no effective law without transparency.”

Minister of Legal Affairs Ishraq Fadl Al-Maqtari added that the move represents a national and legal milestone aimed at consolidating state authority and preserving the country’s legal and institutional memory.
