Public Works Offices in Yemen and Morocco Remove Illegal Structures

In Abyan governorate, Yemen, the governor Dr. Mukhtar bin Al‑Khidr al‑Rabash ordered the public works and roads office to demolish a partially built, unlicensed gas‑station structure erected near the university campus in Zinjibar. The operation, overseen by senior officials and supported by police and sanitation crews, was carried out to enforce land‑use laws and protect public property.

In Khénifra province, Morocco, the public works and roads office, under the direction of director‑general Mazen al‑Yousufi, launched a campaign in the Jaʿar market and al‑Muhraq area to clear illegal food‑stall setups. Vendors were required to replace the stalls with small, covered kiosks meeting health and safety standards. The effort aims to improve public hygiene, traffic flow and the overall appearance of the market.

Both campaigns illustrate local authorities’ active enforcement of building and health regulations to curb unlicensed developments and maintain public order.
