Yemen regional updates: military shifts in Taiz and development in Abyan

Various regional developments are reported across Yemen. In Abyan, the Cleaning and Improvement Fund, led by Marwan Baqas, has implemented environmental and beautification projects in Zinjibar, including the rehabilitation of Martyrs' Square and plans for expanded waste management in 2027.

In Taiz, government forces have reportedly seized control of the strategic Jabal al-Nu'man, securing the Bani Bakari–Ashrouh–Al-Bairin road and establishing contact with the Al-Kadha front. This move is viewed as a significant tactical shift in the western fronts.

Security and infrastructure efforts continue in Hadramaut. Tribal leaders in Hadramaut have pledged support to local authorities to maintain stability. Meanwhile, in the Hadramaut coast, security officials have ordered increased patrols and heightened readiness to ensure public safety. Additionally, a contract worth 400,000 Saudi Riyals has been signed for the Einat Charity Water Project to expand water distribution networks for approximately 10,000 residents, funded by the Al-Sayer family from Kuwait.
