Yemeni Ambassador criticizes Houthi attacks on Saudi Arabia
Yemen's Ambassador to the United Kingdom, Dr. Yassin Saeed Noman, has characterized recent Houthi attacks against Saudi Arabia as a transparent attempt to shift the focus of the war and escape military setbacks on various Yemeni battlefronts.
Noman stated that the Iranian regime has spent years building a surplus of power within the Houthi militia to encourage the breaking of truces and the expansion of regional conflict. He argued that these efforts to project a false image of an external war are a response to the Yemeni Armed Forces taking the initiative on the ground.
Since last Thursday, Houthi land operations have escalated in the Marib and Al Hudaydah governorates. These movements aim to secure strategic positions near the Bab al-Mandab Strait to threaten maritime navigation, an escalation that has reportedly resulted in dozens of civilian deaths and the displacement of hundreds.
