Yemeni Cabinet condemns Houthi attacks on Saudi Arabia

The Yemeni Cabinet, chaired by Prime Minister Dr. Shayea Mohsen al-Zindani, held a meeting in the temporary capital, Aden, to address escalating military, security, political, and economic developments. The council issued a formal statement condemning renewed Houthi attacks on Saudi Arabian territory, expressing full solidarity with the Kingdom and its right to defend its security and citizens.

The government characterized the Houthi actions as being supported by Iran and warned that using Yemeni territory as a launchpad for attacks threatens both national interests and regional stability, including the safety of international maritime corridors. The Cabinet emphasized that the current escalation is a broad and dangerous development linked to an Iranian agenda that utilizes Yemen's strategic location to threaten regional security and international navigation.

In response to the situation, the Cabinet approved several measures to enhance government response, focusing on maintaining state institutions, managing humanitarian impacts, and ensuring the continuity of essential services. The Prime Minister assured citizens that the government is working to manage the crisis and prevent any vacuum that could be exploited by the Houthi militia.
