Yemeni forces report drone strikes and downing of Saudi-backed helicopter

Yemeni forces in Sana’a have released footage showcasing the use of locally manufactured “Rajum” drones in offensive operations. The video documents the drones targeting military vehicles and personnel gatherings in various terrains, including mountainous and forested areas. The footage highlights the system's ability to track and strike moving targets with precision.

In separate developments near the southwestern border region of Najran, Yemeni forces reported the downing of a Saudi-backed Boeing AH-6i reconnaissance helicopter using a locally made surface-to-air missile. While the Saudi-led coalition attributed the crash of the aircraft to a “technical failure” resulting in the deaths of two pilots, Yemeni military officials claim the interception occurred during hostile operations.

These incidents follow a period of increased aerial activity, with Yemeni military spokespersons reporting that Saudi fighter jets, including F-15s and Eurofighter Typhoons, conducted airstrikes targeting Sana’a and several other provinces, including Taiz, Ibb, and Saada.
