Yemeni government inaugurates annual Martyr's Day commemorations
The Yemeni government of Change and Construction has officially launched activities to commemorate the 1448th annual Martyr's Day. The event, organized by the Ministry of Local Administration and Rural Development under the slogan “Our Martyrs are Great,” serves to honor those who died defending the nation.
Acting Prime Minister Mohammed Miftah stated that the commemorations highlight the sacrifices made to bolster Yemeni resilience against regional challenges. He asserted that Yemeni positions have contributed to thwarting “Zionist-American hegemony projects” and described the nation's stance as an inspiration to other regional populations. Miftah also praised the resilience of Iran and the resistance axis in facing American and Israeli escalations.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Local Administration, Mohammed al-Madani, emphasized the ministry's commitment to supporting the families of the fallen. He noted the importance of translating military achievements into practical steps for comprehensive and sustainable development through integrated efforts between state institutions, local authorities, and the private sector.
