Yemeni officials in Aden coordinate government plans and UN partnerships

Government officials in Aden held high-level meetings to align institutional planning with national priorities. The General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers met with the Ministry of Justice to discuss the ministry’s 2026 work plan. The discussions focused on ensuring the ministry's activities align with government program priorities, addressing implementation challenges, and improving institutional performance through enhanced monitoring and evaluation.

Separately, the Minister of Planning and International Cooperation met with the UN Resident Coordinator to strengthen development and humanitarian partnerships. The talks centered on aligning the new development framework with the 2027–2029 national development plan to avoid duplication of efforts. Key topics included mobilizing development funding, addressing the humanitarian needs of displaced persons in Taiz, Al Hudaydah, and Al Bayda, and the necessity of relocating UN agency offices to Aden to facilitate direct coordination with government authorities.
