Yemeni PM praises Egypt-Saudi unity on regional security

Yemeni Prime Minister Shayea al-Zandani has praised the unified stance of Egypt and Saudi Arabia, stating that their coordination strengthens the security of Yemen and the wider region. In a post on X, al-Zandani emphasized that the cooperation between the two nations embodies Arab national security and supports efforts to end the Houthi coup, restore state institutions, and secure maritime corridors.

This diplomatic support follows recent escalations involving the Houthi group, which has conducted missile and drone attacks against civilian and vital facilities in Saudi Arabia. In response to regional tensions, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi announced Egypt's readiness to take any necessary measures to defend Saudi Arabia upon request. The Egyptian National Defense Council has also resolved to provide all possible forms of support to ensure the stability and territorial integrity of the Kingdom.
