Yemeni Speaker praises Egypt for supporting Saudi and Gulf security
Sultan Saeed Al-Burkani, Speaker of the Yemeni House of Representatives, has expressed appreciation for Egypt's stance regarding Arab national security. In a message to Egyptian House Speaker Hesham Abdel Salam Badawi, Al-Burkani stated that Egypt's support for the security and stability of Saudi Arabia and the Gulf states reflects a deep understanding of regional risks.
Al-Burkani emphasized that Egypt and Saudi Arabia serve as a “safety valve” for the Arab nation. He noted that the coordination between these two countries, alongside cooperation with Yemen and other Arab nations, is essential for confronting threats and maintaining regional stability.
The Yemeni Speaker also highlighted Egypt's historical role in supporting the Yemeni revolution of September 26, 1962, and its efforts to help Yemenis achieve liberation from British colonialism. He remarked on the historical sacrifices made by Egypt in Yemen, noting that the commitment to Arab causes remains a significant part of the Yemeni people's memory.
