Yemi Alade releases seventh studio album ‘It’s Yemi Alade’

Nigerian Afropop artist Yemi Alade has released her seventh studio album, titled ‘It’s Yemi Alade’. This project marks her tenth body of work and features 16 tracks that blend various musical genres.

The album incorporates elements of highlife, rumba, disco, house, and R&B. Alade described the sound as a mix of her roots and new experimentation, including genres like Afro-house and talk rapping. The title of the album was chosen through a collaborative process with her fans.

Notable collaborations on the album include Ferré Gola, Don Jazzy, Singuila, and Jeriq. Specific tracks include ‘Coco na Yam’, a rumba-influenced song with Ferré Gola, and ‘Ala Bekee’, which features production by Don Jazzy.
