Yen Hoa poultry farmers expand flocks for year-end demand
In Yen Hoa commune, a major poultry hub in Ha Tinh province, farmers are proactively increasing their chicken flocks to meet rising market demand for the end of 2026 and the Lunar New Year.
Local households, particularly in My Hoa village, are investing in concentrated farming models and automated systems to improve efficiency. Some farmers are managing flocks of several thousand birds, utilizing staggered production cycles to ensure a steady supply. Commercial chicken prices are currently reported between 60,000 and 70,000 VND per kilogram. To mitigate disease risks, producers are focusing on hygiene, disinfection, and strict vaccination schedules.
