Publishers announce new manga and light novel licenses at Anime NYC 2026

Several publishers announced new manga and light novel licenses during Anime NYC 2026.

Yen Press revealed a diverse lineup including nine new acquisitions such as the dark fantasy light novel ‘The Witch’s Conviction, The Beast’s Redemption’ and the fantasy adventure ‘’Cause I’m Freedom!’ Additionally, the publisher announced audiobook adaptations for ‘The Boy and the Beast’ and ‘Rise of the Lowborn: Ascending the Ranks by Crushing Incompetent Nobles’, alongside manga titles like ‘The Goblin Samurai’ and ‘My Crush’s Crush’.

Kana announced six new manga titles, including ‘Children of the Afterlife’, ‘Happy at Home’, ‘Good Morning Leon’, ‘Why We Fall in Love’, ‘Pumpkin Night’, and ‘Soon the Fog Clears’, with release dates spanning 2027.

Manga Mavericks Books licensed two titles: the sci-fi action manga ‘Midnight Robot’, scheduled for a 2027 release, and the boys’ love series ‘Arai-kun & Haruma-senpai’, which will debut digitally in late 2026.
