Yeni Parti conducts nationwide primary elections and congresses

Yeni Parti is undergoing a major organizational restructuring through a series of primary elections and official congresses. Following primary votes held in 69 provinces, the party aims to have provincial chairpersons established in 72 provinces. Party officials described the process as disciplined and conducted with the seriousness of a general election, noting that participation rates reached as high as 80% in some regions.

In Eskişehir, Talat Yalaz secured 69.55% of the vote in the recent primary and will run as the sole candidate in the provincial congress scheduled for October 25. In Nazilli, local leader Özlem Burcu Uğan Sevim reported a 57% turnout, noting that Barkan Kalınomuz placed first in the local results.

In Gaziantep, candidate Erdinç Tütüncü’ler criticized the fairness of the three-way provincial congress, citing factors such as member profiles, political polarization, recommendation decisions, and personal egos as elements that influenced the outcome.

Preparations are currently underway for the party’s First Ordinary Grand Congress, scheduled to take place on November 14-15 at the Ankara Arena.
