YENİ Parti criticizes AK Parti over fund investigation transparency

YENİ Parti spokesperson Zeynel Emre has criticized the AK Parti for failing to disclose the identities of 214 individuals allegedly involved in a fund crisis. Emre accused the ruling party of using the ‘right to not be stigmatized’ and the ‘presumption of innocence’ as excuses to protect their own, while contrasting this with the treatment of opposition figures like Ekrem İmamoğlu.

Following previous claims by İzmir MP Ümit Özlale regarding a list of individuals benefiting from unfair funds, the party has adopted a more cautious approach. While Özlale had previously called for President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan to release such a list, YENİ Parti has not released new names as of the expected deadline.

Zeynel Emre stated that the party has received allegations concerning several deputy ministers, politicians, and bureaucrats. However, he emphasized that the party will not release any names until they have been fully verified and documented to avoid making false accusations.
