CHP marks 103rd anniversary as Mansur Yavaş meets Erdoğan

The Republican People's Party (CHP) marked its 103rd anniversary with various commemorative events across Turkey. Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, the party's former leader, visited Anıtkabir to honor Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, emphasizing the party's role as a guardian of democratic values and national sovereignty. His visit occurred amidst ongoing legal disputes regarding the validity of recent party congresses.

In Ankara, Mayor Mansur Yavaş met with President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan at the Presidential Complex. The closed-door meeting focused on the capital's infrastructure, specifically discussing metro investments and transportation projects to address urban transit needs. Yavaş also expressed gratitude for the support regarding the hosting of the NATO Summit in Ankara.

Local CHP branches in cities such as Ordu, Trabzon, and Osmaniye held ceremonies to celebrate the party's historical legacy. Meanwhile, in Aydın, former party officials held a symbolic wreath-laying ceremony at the Atatürk Monument in response to the absence of official local party ceremonies.
