Yeni Türkiye Eğitim Vakfı launches 2026-2027 academic year

The Yeni Türkiye Eğitim Vakfı (YETEV) has launched its 2026-2027 academic year under the theme ‘Humanity Ideal with Ancient Values.’ The program focuses on the transformation of education in the age of artificial intelligence and the importance of preserving human nature (fitra) in the learning process.

Necmeddin Bilal Erdoğan, Chairman of the YETEV Board of Trustees, emphasized that education must extend beyond academic success to include the spiritual security of children. He described the foundation's goal as creating a ‘spiritual security umbrella’ that protects a child's innate potential and character development.

Former Minister of National Education Prof. Dr. Nabi Avcı noted that while artificial intelligence is transforming education, fundamental elements such as morality, curiosity, and the role of the teacher remain unchanged. He suggested that technology should serve as an assistant to teachers rather than a replacement. YETEV Schools General Manager Yusuf Tüfekçi also highlighted the critical role of technological transformation and the necessity of ensuring that AI cannot replace the human essence of education.
