Yeniden Refah Party denies mass resignation claims in Konya

The Yeniden Refah Party Konya Provincial Presidency issued a statement addressing rumors regarding the Ilgın District Organization. The party denied claims of mass resignations, clarifying that the former Ilgın District President was removed from his position by the General Headquarters on August 18, 2026, rather than resigning.

The party emphasized that Ilgın Municipal Council members remain in their roles and that reports of hundreds of members resigning are untrue. Mehmet İlbay has been appointed as the new Ilgın District President, and work has begun to form a new management team.
