Yenişehir hosts 11th International Altın Biber Festival

The 11th International Altın Biber Festival has commenced in the Yenişehir district of Bursa, Turkey. Running from September 2 to September 6, 2026, the event features a diverse program spanning agriculture, culture, and arts.

The festival opened with a unique performance involving an 88-person ensemble, combining the Ottoman Mehter band, a women's marching band, and a rhythm group. According to instructor Sezgin Kırmızıgül, this synthesis of musical groups is a first for Turkey.

Key scheduled activities include a three-day agricultural fair starting September 3, a panel on rural grants and supports, and a mass circumcision ceremony. Musical performances are also featured, including appearances by Manuş Baba and Aydilge.
