Yenişehir Municipality maintains ISO 50001 energy certification

Yenişehir Municipality has successfully maintained its ISO 50001 Energy Management System certification following a three-day audit conducted by independent external auditors. The audit, which included field inspections and documentation reviews of energy performance data and legal compliance, confirmed the municipality’s full adherence to international energy efficiency standards.

In addition to energy management achievements, two kindergartens operated by the municipality’s subsidiary, Yenişehir İşletmecilik A.Ş., received the international ‘Green Flag’ award through the ‘Eco-Schools Project’. The Özel Ömer Faruk İlbilgen Anaokulu earned this distinction for the second consecutive time, recognizing its sustained efforts in environmental education, waste management, and resource conservation.
