Yenişehir Municipality projects recognized as national models

The Ministry of Interior's Civil Inspectorate has cited projects in Yenişehir, Mersin, as exemplary models for Turkey in the fields of education and climate. During the September municipal council meeting, Mayor Abdullah Özyiğit noted that these initiatives, which began as campaign promises, have now become recognized standard-setting works.

Two major local projects are scheduled for upcoming openings: the Aydınlıkevler Neighborhood's fully accessible 'Disabled Marketplace'—noted as the first and only of its kind in Turkey—is set to open on September 12, followed by the Leyla Kürk Library on October 2.

During the meeting, Mayor Özyiğit also addressed ongoing municipal efforts regarding urban cleanliness, culture, and arts, while commemorating the 104th anniversary of Victory Day.
