Turkey celebrates grape harvest with regional festivals

Various regions in Turkey are celebrating grape harvest traditions through local festivals and cultural events.

In Tekirdağ, the 14th Grape Harvest Festival was held at the Tekirdağ Viticulture Research Institute. The event featured folklore performances and exhibitions of various grape varieties. Officials emphasized the economic and nutritional importance of grapes to the region.

In Manisa, the Manisa Grape Harvest Festivals are scheduled for September 5-8 in the Şehzadeler district. Organized by the Manisa Metropolitan Municipality and Şehzadeler Municipality, the event aims to strengthen the bond between urban and rural areas and promote the city's viticulture heritage. As part of the festivities, a photography competition titled ‘Grape Harvest and Grape Culture in Şehzadeler’ will be held, offering 45,000 TL in total prizes to amateur and professional photographers.

Additionally, preparations are underway for the Manisa Yuntdağı Pistachio Harvest Festival, scheduled for September 6 in the Akçaköy neighborhood, aimed at promoting the region's agricultural wealth.
