Yenipazar begins pistachio harvest in Aydın
The pistachio harvest season has commenced in the Yenipazar district of Aydın, Turkey. Yenipazar serves as a critical hub for the region, accounting for approximately 73% of Aydın's total pistachio production.
According to 2026 Farmer Registration System (ÇKS) data, pistachio cultivation covers 4,218 decares across Aydın, with 3,092 decares located specifically in Yenipazar. In areas such as the Hacıköseler neighborhood, producers have begun collecting the crop following year-round cultivation efforts.
To boost agricultural yields and diversify income for local producers, a project initiated in 2022 involved grafting 12,500 naturally occurring menengiç trees in the district's mountainous regions. Local producers expressed hope for a productive and profitable harvest season.
