Yeongam County refines 90 core election pledges

Yeongam County has begun restructuring its 100 election pledges into 90 core priorities for its ninth popularly elected administration. During a recent report meeting led by County Governor Woo Seung-hee, officials reviewed the implementation plans, timelines, and funding requirements for these projects.

The county’s strategic focus is the ‘Yeongam-style Basic Society,’ which is built upon five pillars: basic income, basic welfare, basic finance, basic living, and basic transportation. Specific initiatives include rural and energy-based basic income, integrated care services, and support for youth and newlyweds.

Additionally, the county is prioritizing future growth sectors such as renewable energy, smart agriculture, and tourism, including the Wolchulsan Garden Project. To ensure transparency and public involvement, a resident jury will be operated from late October to November to collect community feedback before the final implementation plan is published on the county website.
