Yeongcheon recycled plastic factory fire injures one worker

A fire broke out at a recycled plastic production plant in Daechang-myeon, Yeongcheon, Gyeongbuk, around 12:33 PM on the 10th. The blaze damaged an extruder and several other facilities before being extinguished in approximately 30 minutes.

One employee sustained injuries during the incident and was transported to a hospital. Authorities believe the fire originated in the extruder, a piece of equipment used to process plastic raw materials at high temperatures. Police and fire departments are investigating the exact cause of the fire and the extent of the damage.
