Yeongjong-gu Head Son Hwa-jung prioritizes hospital and rail expansion

Yeongjong-gu District Head Son Hwa-jung marked her first 100 days in office by outlining key priorities for the region, including the early construction of a public general hospital and the expansion of the railway network. During a press conference, Son identified the establishment of a hospital with an emergency room and resolving local transportation issues as the most urgent matters for residents.

To address transportation, Son is focusing on securing the inclusion of GTX-D/E lines, a second airport railway, and a KTX extension to Incheon Airport in the 5th National Railway Network Plan. She also aims to foster a self-sufficient city by attracting high-tech industries such as bio, aviation maintenance (MRO), and semiconductors.

In a separate effort to improve local education environments, Son visited Incheon Science High School to meet with parents and school officials. The meeting focused on addressing traffic congestion during school hours and the need for expanded public transportation routes to ensure safer and more convenient commutes for students.
