Yeongjong-gu hosts inaugural community festivals

Yeongjong-gu in Incheon held two inaugural community festivals aimed at fostering local engagement and cultural expression.

The first event, the ‘Yeongjong Something’ family festival, was organized by the Yeongjong-gu Family Center. Held at the Yeongjong Haneulnuri Center, the magic-themed festival drew approximately 500 residents. The program included magic shows, bilingual speech contests, and various themed experience booths designed to strengthen family bonds and community ties.

Additionally, the district hosted the first Yeongjong-gu Youth Culture Festival at Yeongmaru Park. Under the theme ‘PLAYGROUND,’ the event featured performances from 13 local youth clubs, including dance, musical, and band acts. The festival was characterized by youth-led participation, with local youth committees managing experience booths. The event concluded with performances by various musical artists and an EDM party.
