Yeongjong-gu hosts inaugural community festivals and events

Yeongjong-gu, a newly established district in Incheon, South Korea, has launched several community-focused initiatives to celebrate its inception and promote local services.

On September 17, the district held the inaugural ‘YoungONE Festival’ at Seaside Park. The event focused on community harmony, featuring performances by local artists and various experiential programs. A dedicated ‘Young Zone’ was operated to introduce youth policies and digital experiences, including AI-driven career counseling, psychological wellness programs, and retro gaming. To support the local economy, the festival included a food delivery pickup zone to encourage spending at nearby businesses.

Additionally, the district announced it will host its first Social Welfare Fair on the 31st at Haneul Sports Park. The fair will feature 32 organizations providing information and consultations on services related to the elderly, disabled, children, and mental health, aiming to improve resident access to essential welfare resources.
