Yeongjong-gu opens Yongyu Complex Community Center

The Yongyu Complex Community Center has officially opened in Yeongjong-gu, Incheon, to provide integrated health, cultural, welfare, and educational services to local residents. The project was completed through a collaborative investment of 11.79 billion KRW by Yeongjong-gu, Incheon Metropolitan City, and the Incheon International Airport Corporation.

The facility consists of a three-story building with a basement. The first floor houses the Yongyu Public Health Subcenter and will soon include a local agricultural and marine products market. The second floor contains the Yongyu-dong Community Center, featuring a computer room, language lab, small library, and multipurpose rooms for educational and leisure activities. The third floor is designated as a community space specifically for residents living in airport noise-affected areas.

Yeongjong-gu officials stated that the center aims to improve accessibility to public services and support the well-being of residents who have faced inconveniences due to airport noise and development restrictions.
