Yeongju City hosts 17th Citizen Health Experience Fair
The 17th Citizen Health Experience Fair was held at Baegogedunchi in Yeongju City, attracting approximately 8,000 residents. Organized by the Yeongju City Health Center, the two-day event provided a wide range of medical services, including thyroid ultrasounds, oriental medicine consultations, oral examinations, vision tests, and medication counseling.
Thirty-three organizations and institutions participated, including various medical associations and local hospitals. The event featured practical training such as CPR demonstrations and health education. Cultural performances by local daycare centers and community groups were also included to engage the public.
Gyeongbuk College contributed to the event through its ‘KBC Play Zone,’ where approximately 100 professors and students from five departments provided specialized services. These included blood pressure and oxygen saturation measurements, pulmonary function tests, swallowing disorder therapy using virtual reality, dental hygiene education, and beauty care services like hand massages and nail art.
