Yeongju City strengthens emergency medical transport response system

Yeongju City is strengthening its field response system to prevent delays in the transport and acceptance of emergency patients. The Yeongju Public Health Center held a working-level meeting with local emergency medical institutions and the Yeongju Fire Station to review the entire process, from the occurrence of an emergency to hospital selection and patient acceptance.

The initiative focuses on practical field issues, such as determining which hospital can accept a patient and how quickly information can be exchanged between agencies. This follows the implementation of the ‘Gyeongsangbuk-do Emergency Patient Transport and Acceptance Guidelines.’ To ensure the ‘golden hour’ for patients, the city plans to maintain a constant communication network between fire services and medical institutions and conduct regular reviews of the cooperation procedures.
