Yeongju sees streak of major lottery wins

Yeongju, South Korea, has seen a series of significant lottery wins within a 12-day period. The streak began on October 3 with a second-place Lotto 6/45 win in Gahung-dong, followed by a first-place Lotto 6/45 win on October 10 at Jinyang Sanghoe, which yielded over 3 billion KRW.

On October 15, a Speetto 2000 instant lottery winner claimed 1 billion KRW. The winner, identified as Person A, received the ticket from their father during a family gathering. The father had purchased the tickets before a meal and distributed one to each of his three children. Upon scratching the ticket at their parents' home, Person A discovered the first-place prize.

Jinyang Sanghoe has a history of high-value wins, having produced Lotto 1st prize winners four times since 2021. The recent surge in major prizes across various local retailers has drawn significant attention from residents in the Yeongju area.
