Yeosu hosts series of seafood promotion events

Yeosu is hosting a series of seafood promotion events to highlight the excellence of local products and expand sales channels for fishermen. These activities are taking place alongside the 2026 Yeosu World Island Expo.

Scheduled events include the ‘2026 Jeonnam-Gwangju Fisheries Business Direct Transaction Market’ on October 24, featuring six local companies. This will be followed by the ‘2026 Seafood Direct Transaction and Distribution Win-Win Festival’ on October 29 and 30, organized by the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries. This festival will include cooking shows, tastings, and consultation meetings between producers and distributors.

Additionally, the ‘2026 Jeonnam-Gwangju Large-scale Seafood Special Exhibition’ will run from October 30 to November 1. The exhibition will showcase various regional specialties, such as Yeosu anchovies, Muan laver, Wando abalone, and Jindo blue crabs.
