Yeosu police arrest man in 60s for fatal stabbing of acquaintance

A man in his 60s has been arrested by the Yeosu Police Station on suspicion of murdering an acquaintance with a weapon.

The incident occurred around 12:40 a.m. on August 30 in Munsu-dong, Yeosu, South Jeolla Province. According to police reports, the suspect and the victim, a person in their 50s, were drinking together when a dispute broke out. The suspect allegedly moved the victim to a nearby park before committing the attack.

Police apprehended the suspect in the vicinity of the park following reports of a violent incident. Authorities are currently investigating the exact circumstances surrounding the motive and the altercation.
