Yeosu Port welcomes Costa Serena cruise as Geomdan Lake Park nears completion

The Costa Serena, a 114,000-ton mega cruise ship departing from Taiwan and traveling through Japan, arrived at Yeosu Port on August 14. This marks the ship's return to the port approximately four months after a previous visit was canceled due to bad weather. The arrival brought approximately 3,200 passengers and crew members to Yeosu, who visited local landmarks such as Odongdo Island and Yi Sun-sin Square.

In Incheon, construction is progressing on the planned Geomdan Lake Park within the Geomdan New Town. The park is expected to be completed by the end of this year. Subsequent processes, including planting and paving, are scheduled to begin next month for the Cultural Park 3 area. Additionally, construction for a museum and the Baeknyeon Ieum Library within the park is slated to begin in November.
