Yeosu prepares for 2026 Yeosu Night Sea Fireworks Festival

Yeosu City is finalizing preparations for the 2026 Yeosu Night Sea Fireworks Festival, scheduled to take place on October 31 at the Yeosu World Expo Park in Deokchung-dong. This year’s event features an international production team and centers on the theme of “islands,” serving as a linked event for the 2026 Yeosu World Island Expo.

The city selected the Expo Park as the venue due to concerns regarding shallow waters and potential damage to nearby aquaculture farms at the originally considered Jinmo district. The festival will include various side events, such as the “2026 Yeosu Island Food Festa” at the Expo Digital Gallery and “Island Friends Day” in the Jinmo district.

To accommodate visitors, the city will increase the number of shuttle buses running between the main Expo site and Yeosu Expo Station. Approximately 570 safety management personnel will be deployed to manage crowds and prevent accidents during the festivities.
