Yeosu World Island Expo announces ticket sales and opening details

The 2026 Yeosu World Island Expo, the first international event focused solely on islands, is preparing for its opening on September 5, 2026. The event will take place over 61 days across various locations in Yeosu, including the Jinmo district, the Yeosu World Expo site, Gaedo, and Geumodo.

Organizers have announced updates to the ticketing process. Opening ceremony performance tickets will be available for reservation starting August 31 via the ‘Nol Ticket’ (Interpark) platform. These specific tickets allow for reserved seating at the opening ceremony's open stage but do not grant general admission to the expo; visitors must also hold a standard expo ticket.

Pre-sale tickets for the expo, including general admission and family passes, are currently available through Nol Universe at a 20% discount until September 4. Special discounts of up to 30% are also available for certain residents. The expo aims to showcase the ecological and cultural value of islands under the theme ‘Islands, Connecting Sea and Future.’
