Yeosu World Island Expo expands cultural programs and performances

The Yeosu World Island Expo is expanding its cultural offerings to attract more visitors through diverse performances and interactive exhibits. The event, themed ‘Connecting Islands, Seas, and the Future’, is being held in the Jinmo district of Dolsan, Yeosu.

To enhance the visitor experience, the Jeonnam Cultural Foundation is hosting the ‘Island Rhythm’ program on September 13. This event will feature various dance genres, including K-pop, hip-hop, and breaking, with performances by local dance crews and popular YouTuber ‘Dancing Gomdol’.

Additionally, the expo is introducing ‘Weekly Concerts’ every Friday and Saturday at 7:30 PM, set against the backdrop of the Yeosu sea. The expo also features international exchange zones showcasing cultures from places like Santorini and the Galapagos, alongside interactive ‘Treasure Island’ exhibition halls designed for families and children.
