Yerevan to host $470 million World Trade Center complex

The Armenian government and private partners have unveiled designs for the World Trade Center Yerevan, a $470 million mixed-use development. Designed by the British architecture firm Foster + Partners, the project will be situated on the site of the former central post office on Saryan Street.

The complex will feature twin skyscrapers rising to heights of 200 meters and 224 meters, which would make the taller tower the tallest building in the capital's history. The towers will be connected by three enclosed bridges featuring landscaped terraces and shared amenities. One tower is designated for office space, while the other will house apartments and a hotel. The base of the development will include shops, restaurants, and entertainment spaces arranged around a public square.

Hyatt Hotels Corp. has signed a management agreement for the complex's hotel, and UK Export Finance has signed a memorandum to provide partial funding for the project. The design aims to integrate with Yerevan's urban fabric and historical landmarks, offering views of Mount Ararat, the National Assembly, and the Armenian Genocide Memorial.
