Ye's Madrid concert expected to generate over €40 million economic boost
American rapper Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, performed in Madrid on 30 July 2026 at the Riyadh Air Metropolitan Stadium. The venue held about 68 000 spectators, with roughly 60 % (around 41 000) coming from abroad, marking the concert as a major draw for international visitors.
Organiser Vibra Music estimates the event will create an economic impact exceeding €40 million for the city, driven by spending on accommodation, food, transport, shopping and other tourism‑related services. The concert follows a series of cancellations in several European cities after Ye's past anti‑Semitic remarks, highlighting Madrid's capacity to host large‑scale global music tours.
The show is part of Ye's 2026 world tour, with a further date scheduled in Portugal later in August.
