Yesim and eSIM providers offer alternatives to traditional mobile roaming
A new generation of eSIM providers, led by Swiss company Yesim, is offering alternatives to traditional mobile roaming for international travellers. These services allow users to arrange mobile internet before departure, providing fixed validity periods and transparent pricing.
According to Yesim founder and CEO Dmitri Verbovski, travellers are becoming increasingly price-conscious as the costs of flights and accommodation rise. Unlike conventional roaming, where domestic carriers dictate coverage zones, daily fees, and data caps, eSIM technology aims to provide more flexibility and affordability for outbound travellers.
